You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account. The option is at the bottom of the Profile screen, below Log out. It needs app version 175.0 or later — if you don't see it, update the app. (Sweat Wallet and SWEAT as they exist today end on 30 December 2026 — see update.swe.at.)
Before you delete
- Back up your private key or seed phrase, or move your assets out. Deletion removes the off-chain personal data associated with your NEAR account (such as your Apple or Google ID, email and app sessions) and performs no on-chain action: your account and its keys stay on the blockchain untouched. After deletion, Apple or Google no longer opens your wallet in Sweat Wallet — only a saved secret phrase does. Your exported private key or secret phrase also still opens the account in other NEAR wallets. Back up in Profile → Security.
- Cancel SWEAT MAX if you have it. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription: billing continues through Apple or Google until you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
How it works
- Open Profile and tap Delete account.
- Read what deletion means for your wallet. If your wallet has no secret phrase, the screen shows the funds that would become unreachable. Tick I understand that funds on this address will be lost to continue, or tap Create a secret phrase first.
- Swipe to confirm.
- Confirm it is you: sign in again with Apple or Google, or, if you log in with a secret phrase, unlock with your phone's Face ID, fingerprint or passcode (if your phone has a screen lock).
- Your account is deleted right away. Occasionally the app shows Deletion requested instead; the deletion then completes within 24 hours.
What deletion does not do
- The blockchain address itself cannot be erased. A wallet is an anonymous public address on the NEAR blockchain — the public ledger is immutable by design. What deletion removes is your app access and the personal data linked to your account; the address itself holds no personal information.
- Your Sweatcoin account is not affected (see below).
- We keep a hashed copy of your email to prevent abuse.
- Simply uninstalling the app does not delete anything — your wallet stays on-chain and your tokens remain safe as long as you keep your login (activation email / seed phrase).
Can't open the app or log in?
Contact support with the email address linked to your account and your Sweatcoin username, and ask for account and data deletion. Both details are needed to identify the account. Formal right-to-erasure requests (GDPR / CCPA) can also be sent this way; a person handles each one, and you will be told once the deletion is complete.
Deleting your data on the Sweatcoin side
Your Sweatcoin account is separate, and you can delete it yourself in the Sweatcoin app: Profile → Settings → Help → Account → Delete Account.
